the attic sale

Inspired by the idea that every forgotten object has a second life, this illustration tells the story of an attic where mice host a sale using the childhood treasures left behind by two siblings.

Years after the brother and sister had grown up, the attic remained quietly filled with the forgotten treasures of their childhood.

One day, the mice who had secretly called the attic home decided it was the perfect place to host a sale.

Soon, curious visitors began to arrive. Birds searched for tiny treasures, squirrels hunted for seasonal decorations, and even the occasional extraterrestrial wandered in, hoping to uncover something unexpected. What looked like discarded clutter to its original owners became precious discoveries in entirely different worlds—a ring imagined as the perfect proposal, soft cushion stuffing transformed into a cozy nest, pinecones destined to brighten a squirrel's tree hollow.

The Attic Sale is a celebration of the hidden lives that continue long after we move on. It imagines that every forgotten object still has a story to tell, waiting patiently for someone new to discover its value.
